This year has been difficult for many couples but some have been able to put the stress aside and embrace the true meaning of marriage – the love between two people. Kirsten and Rob had originally planned a large wedding at a beautiful venue near the coast and at the very last minute were forced to make the hard decision of downsize to an intimate backyard ceremony… but me oh my, was it a stunning blessing in disguise! With rolling fields, an adorable barn dressed in sparkling white lights, and well manicured gardens, this was any brides dream venue.
I think the best thing about an intimate wedding is that everyone is so relaxed and enjoying each others company throughout the WHOLE day. I arrived and found Kirsten to be the calmest bride with all smiles, and Rob lounging along side his best man in the backyard with a beer. When a few showers were about to pass through neither Kirsten nor Rob seemed stressed in the slightest. As a team they decided if it were to continue raining they would just get married inside, it simply didn’t matter because they were happy to say “I do” anywhere (talk about making the most out a difficult time!) <3
My absolute favorite part of the day was how right after those summer showers rolled through a thick fog lifted up through the trees revealing a beautiful landscape for all their portraits. Kirsten and Rob danced, embraced and laughed for an hour as we played around in the fields and it was truly magical. Im SO happy for these two and can’t wait to see where their future takes them!
