My happy place has always been at the beach, so it comes as no surprise that coastal weddings have a special place in my heart… Kathryn and Andrews wedding was no exception! When I learned that Kathryn and Andrew had pulled the trigger on Castle Hill, I was honored to have the opportunity to photograph a wedding at such a spectacular venue. Perched on the cliffs of Newport RI, Castle Hill is the quintessential New England venue, offering couples both a nautical and rustic experience all in one. This elegant venue features a glorious Sperry Tent with panoramic views of Narragansett Bay, as well as perfectly manicured gardens and a Lighthouse!

Kathryn and Andrew are a special couple, having been together over 12 years, they seriously give a new meaning to “couples goals”. Its certainly not ideal to have 40mph winds and sideways rain on the day of your wedding, so I was fully prepared to be a voice of optimism. When we arrived at Castle Hill the champagne was being popped and celebration had fully commenced! A little wind and rain wasn’t going to stop these two best friends from having the greatest day of their lives. Kathryn and Andrew were truly up for ANYTHING and whenever there was a break in the rain we were outside! My favorite part of the day was definitely the firstlook on the back terrace. It was enchanting how perfectly wind blown and romantic it was. Eeek! Basically this cold rainy day turned into a total dream and there are a million things I could say to describe how wonderful it was, but I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves!
