I loved assisting Aubrey at Danielle and Matt’s wedding because it was held at the Exchange Conference Center, in Boston’s Seaport District. Anyone that knows me, knows I LOVE being near the ocean, so the idea of a harbor view ceremony had me SUPER excited for the day! I had never shot at the ECC before, so I was eager to learn how the couple had chosen such a unique venue. It made sense when I learned that Danielle and Matt’s love for seafood had lured Matt into opening his own company, Boston Smoked Fish, located on Fisherman’s Pier right next to the ECC. (So cool right?!)
When we arrived the groomsmen were watching planes land at Logan from their hotel room at the Seaport Hotel, while the ladies were finishing up with hair and make up at the ECC. The first look was super romantic in a quiet secret garden – that fortunately offered us a hide away from a surprise passing shower. Danielle and Matt were so calm as they strolled hand in hand down the pier, waving to passerby’s and friends from the pier. The ceremony was lovely with the warm setting sky reflecting off the water. My favorite part of the day was definitely cocktail hour. All of Matt’s seafood friends were there to help, serving up fresh oysters and shrimp, with local cheeses and spreads… Even the store mascot for Boston Smoked Fish was there for fun photo ops. Laughter was in the air while the sun was setting on the Boston Skyline <3
